HP525 EFI

A favorite among recreational sport boaters and offshore racers, the HP525 EFI features an advanced microprocessor for ignition and fuel management. The state-of-the-art Mercury PCM 03 microprocessor controls the air/fuel ratio for each cylinder independently, producing a consistent and clean burn. In addition, the PCM03 optimizes spark timing for superior running quality and overall performance.

The 525 EFI features a factory-installed closed cooling system that cools the entire cylinder block and aluminum cylinder heads. Five-year coolant increases corrosion protection while reducing maintenance costs. Plus, winterizing is simplified with a multi-point manual water drain system.

The precision CNC machined, 502 C.I.D. (8.2L) cylinder block is equipped with heavy-duty, fully machined and shot-peened Mercury Racing connecting rods and forged aluminum pistons for maximum strength and durability. Premium parts are used on the upper end as well, including high performance pushrods, roller rocker arms, stainless steel valves and roller lifters.

HP600 SCi

Packed with Mercury Racing exclusive components, the new HP600 SCi certainly "raises the bar," combining sheer performance with uncompromised drivability and durability. The 600 SCi achieves impeccable docking manners and a thrilling throttle response with its "clean sheet" induction system design.

Beginning with a CNC machined 502 cubic inch cylinder block, Mercury Racing technicians handcraft each engine for maximum performance. Some of the key features contributing to its awesome drivability are active torque management, sequential port fuel injection, individual coil ignition, and a roller camshaft.

Featuring Mercury's exclusive Propulsion Control Module (PCM) 03 microprocessor, the 600 SCi has the ability to optimize fuel, spark timing and knock control independently for each cylinder, enhancing engine running quality, performance, fuel economy and durability. This powerful engine management computer, combined with a 3.3 Liter Lysholm screw type supercharger, roller camshaft and sequential fuel injection, results in exceptional idle quality and unmatched performance throughout the engine operating range.

HP700 SCi

The HP700 SCi is based off the same CNC machined 502 cubic inch cylinder block as the 525 EFI and 600 SCi. The intercooler, made of copper-nickel alloy called "CuproNickel" for enhanced corrosion resistance, is 0.75" taller than that used on the 600SCi for improved engine cooling. Boost bypass is achieved via an internal cast passage. The intake also features port fuel injection and a fuel cross over passage which eliminates tee fittings by routing fuel to both port and starboard fuel rails for enhanced engine aesthetics.

An induction hardened, micro-alloy crankshaft features larger journal radii for enhanced strength and durability. Connecting rods feature a floating wrist pin as well as stronger rod bolts for enhanced engine durability. A new camshaft design provides increased valve lift for enhanced power and torque. The oil flow rate has been increased for enhanced engine protection throughout the engine operating range. The 700SCi is the first engine to come standard with Mercury Racing's new universal engine mount system. The new mounts enable OEM boat builders to install the engine in virtually any hull configuration with ease.

The 700SCi is also the first engine to feature Mercury Racing's new large capacity power steering reservoir. It is intended to eliminate the need for additional after market reservoirs used by boat builders today.

Engine aesthetics are new with the carbon fiber reservoir covers, polished pulleys, and selected components painted slate grey.

HP850 SCi

Based off the revolutionary 1075 SCi, the 850 SCi shares the same mild mannered personality as its big brother. Engine aesthetics are accented with new style billet aluminum pulleys, anodized in Mercury Racing's brilliant blue, complemented by matching valve covers. Composite supercharger air inlet resonators and engine cover complete the styling of the 850 SCi.

A pair of Lysholm twin screw superchargers, combined with multiport fuel injection (two injectors per cylinder), provide sport boaters with turn-key starting, great overall running quality and incredibly smooth idle quality for a high horsepower big block. Shifting into and out of gear is smooth as silk with the engine's 800 RPM idle speed, making docking a pleasant experience.

Supercharger induction noise levels are controlled by twin composite air inlet resonators.

Mercury Racing engineers designed the 850 SCi for ease of installation. Components are strategically placed with an end package that is as compact as possible. The twin screw superchargers, which require less power than traditional roots blowers, sit on a corrosion resistant charge air cooler and induction system designed exclusively by Mercury Racing. The low-profile design reduces overall engine height and center of gravity.

HP1075 SCi

Bold new graphics, trick carbon fiber valve covers and new style anodized billet aluminum pulleys are the differentiating birthmarks which distinguish the 1075 SCi as Mercury Racing's premium sterndrive engine package. New high performance air filters/flame arrestors, custom designed for Mercury Racing by ITG, enhance engine operating efficiency and increase durability resulting in lower maintenance.

The 1075 SCi is mild mannered due to the Mercury exclusive PCM 03 microprocessor - the brain behind the brawn. The 1075 SCi features a pair of Lysholm twin screw superchargers with multi-port fuel injection, providing sport boaters with turn-key starting, incredible idling, great running quality and smooth as silk shifting.

Super charger boost is variable. A boost bypass control valve, electronically activated by the PCM 03 micro-processor, continuously adjusts the amount of boost needed to provide consistent horsepower under any operating condition or environment. The PCM 03 computer also optimizes fuel, spark timing and knock control independently for each cylinder to enhance engine running quality, performance, fuel economy, and durability.
